Join the Temesvikings
We are always looking for new members to join our warrior band. If you are not sure whether Viking life is for you, you ou can join us for a day at a show to try it out.
We'll provide you with kit and equipment for your first shows, but if you decide to become a Viking we expect you to make your own outfit and get your own camp equipment (such as bowls, a spoon, a cup) in due time. Don't worry, we'll help with with clothes-making and authenticity.
Once you are a member you can attend the fighting training every Sunday if there are no shows. We train axe, sword and spear, and you can also become a bowman. However, safety comes first. You will have to pass a basic combat test before you can fight on the battlefield during shows.
There are a variety of craft skills in our group, including woodwork, embroidery and weaving, and we are happy to teach those if you want to keep busy in the camp. You are welcome to bring in your own craft skills (provided you use authentic tools). Talk to our authenticity officer first.
